Lone Wolf BOE announces New Superintendent for SY24

The Lone Wolf Board of Education is proud to announce the hiring of Shawn Sager, M.Ed. as its new Superintendent effective July 1, 2023.  He was chosen during a Special Board meeting April 26th   from a group of exceptional applicants from around the state. Mr. Sager will begin his tenure following the departure of Superintendent Nicole Price at the end of the school year. 

Mr. Sager has been the Elementary School Principal at Navajo Schools since 2019.  Prior to that he taught Science at Navajo, Altus and Fredrick Public Schools as well as Western Oklahoma State College. He is a passionate and results-driven education professional who will use his experience to continue to provide a quality educational experience for our students. 

Ms. Price, after a busy and transformative year as Superintendent made the difficult decision to resign due to changing family obligations. She eagerly took on the task of following the long and successful tenure of Mr. James Sutherland who was the Superintendent here for over 30 years. Superintendent Price worked tirelessly to continue the educational traditions of Lone Wolf Schools while implementing her own positive changes. She has committed to helping Mr. Sager as he transitions to the position of Superintendent.
